Maxwell Perry Cotton got his start in the entertainment industry by doing print work for the famous toy company Mattel at age 4 and then he landed a print campaign for Hanes. He also booked an episode of “Untold Stories from the ER.” Shortly after, Maxwell started auditioning on a regular basis for film and television and quickly booked the CBS pilot “Welcome to the Jungle Gym.” His first series regular job came when he played Rachel Griffiths' son Copper Whedon on the hit ABC series “Brothers and Sisters.” A last minute decision made by his father while on a family road trip, to send he and his mother on a plane from Oakland, CA to the final callbacks in Los Angeles definitely paid off. Maxwell was cast as the first actual 6 year old Dennis Mitchell in the new film “A Dennis The Menace Christmas” for Warner Home Video. Maxwell has starred opposite Mira Sorvino and Barry Pepper in the award winning festival film “Like Dandelion Dust.” Most recently Maxwell starred opposite A- list Jim Carrey in “Mr. Popper's Penguins” and will next be seen in the upcoming Warner Bros feature film “Gangster Squad” and the Sony Pictures release “Elysium.” Maxwell is currently shooting the independent feature film “Snake and Mongoose” with Noah Wylie and Jessie Williams.
